Smeg Warranty Policy

  1. This certificate covers the warranty for Smeg domestic kitchen appliances and Vintec wine storage cabinets that were purchased from an authorised reseller in Malaysia only.
  2. This certificate of warranty must be accurately completed and submitted within 7 days from the date of purchase, otherwise, the warranty will be void.
  3. This certificate is non-transferable and must be presented together with the purchase receipt when servicing is required.
  4. This warranty is effective for a period 24 months from the date of purchase against any manufacturing faults and defective parts of the appliance.
  5. Warranty for display or clearance items will be 6 months from date of purchase on the functional and performance aspect and not on the cosmetic aspect of the appliance. Display and clearance items are sold on an “as-is” basis and will not be entitled to any claims for cosmetic defacement or damage.
  6. The Warranty only covers single family or non-commercial multi-unit dwellings. It does not cover any appliance(s) used in any commercial application.
  7. Kitch (M) Sdn Bhd reserves the right to replace parts of the appliance on conditions as stated; This warranty will be voided in the event of any of the following:
    1. any tampering, defacement or removal of the serial number, date of purchase or product information
    2. that at any time during the warranty period, the appliance was handled, repaired, modified, disassembled by persons not authorised by us.
    3. that the appliance is found to be installed and/or used in a commercial environment or situation
  8. This warranty does not cover damages resulting from:
    1. unauthorized alteration, service, repair, disassembly or modification of the appliance;
    2. if the installation of the appliance is not carried out as recommended;
    3. misuse, negligence, damage resulting from accidents, damage while in transit;
    4. lightning, natural disaster, pest attacks, fire, floods, pollution;
    5. abnormal voltage, usage of unstable power supply;
    6. normal wear or tear and rust on the appliance
  9. This warranty does not cover any of the following:
    1. Burner caps; wok/pot supports; pan stands;
    2. Light bulbs; knobs; charcoal filters; trays and shelves;
    3. Body work;
    4. Blade; hose; containers (both plastic and glass); rubber gasket;
  10. At any time during the warranty period, only ONE full replacement is allowed. Any replacement decision will be solely at the discretion of Kitch (M) Sdn Bhd. Replacement item will be entitled to the remaining warranty period of the original purchase.
  11. For Smeg small appliances, the purchaser shall be fully responsible for delivering the small appliance to our service centre or authorized drop-off point for the necessary repair/servicing and the subsequent collection of the small appliance after completion of repair/servicing.
